The European Parliament wanted to increase the traffic on its website whilst attracting new, regular visitors.
Working with MediaContact (Havas group), EU-turn proposed an original solution based on advertisements in the main search engines (MSN, Google) and via instant messaging services (Microsoft Messenger, Yahoo Instant Messenger) and national portals.
Given that the European Parliament’s main target audience is the public at large, we based our work in particular on keywords and text rather than graphic formats (electronic banners).
The results speak volumes. The European Parliament expected an additional 460,000 visits and yet over 750,000 unique visitors explored its website. In addition, the number of visits per user regularly increased, which is proof that the aim of getting visitors to come back again and again has been achieved.
